Gregor Jamieson, PGA Professional

Gregor Jamieson has been the Director of Golf at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Florida since the club opened 1988.  He is a member of the U.S. and British PGA’s, and is originally from Turnberry Hotel and Golf Courses in Scotland, where his father, Bob Jamieson, was the Professional for 32 years. He started his apprenticeship at North Berwick West Links under the tutelage of David Huish, and then returned to Turnberry to continue his apprenticeship with his father.  During his apprenticeship, he made visits to the United States, working at Sawgrass and Bay Hill in Florida.  In 1981, he became a partner with his father at Turnberry, and then finally moved to his position at Lake Nona.

Over the years Gregor Jamieson has become recognized for his golf instruction, being voted by Golf Magazine in 1991 as one of the Top 50 Instructors in the United States, and later as one of the Top 100 Instructors.  This recognition afforded him the opportunity to coach players of many standards, including those who are members of the various professional world tours.  He has also conducted seminars for the PGA of Europe, the Danish PGA, the North Florida section of the PGA, the Indiana Section of the PGA, and for the PGA of America National Seminars.  He has appeared on the Golf Channel on numerous occasions on their weekly show, Golf Academy Live and has commentated on British Open telecasts.
